NOW PLAYING: The Professional Touch – Chicken Saltimbocca with Elizabeth Faulkner
Elizabeth Falkner Though Falkner graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute with the dream of becoming a filmmaker, she eventually found her calling in the world of food, working with Julian Serrano in Masa's pastry department and opening Rubicon with Traci Des Jardins before launching her own contemporary pastry shop, the Citizen Cake, in 1997. With her second restaurant, Orson, she focused on blurring the lines between sweet and savory; then, in 2012, the Michelin-starred Falkner moved to New York City to open the Italian restaurant Krescendo in Brooklyn. She transitioned to her newest project, Corvo Bianco, an Italian bistro on the Upper West Side, in July 2013.
